About Us

We are a full service pottery studio with private and semi private studios  We offer classes, workshops, private parties, and team building events.  We also offer classes once a week for home schooled children age 6- 12.  Don't need a studio?  We have open studio work spaces for a small mothly fee. 

Our members are an eclectic group working at different levels.  We are a family that believes in creating a collaborative and sharing environment.   

Our mission is to make the Clay Center of St Petersburg a community where potters come to learn, grow, enjoy, share, and have an enjoyable experience and grow as an artist.  

We offer classes at all levels in hand building, sculpture, and wheel throwing.  Classes are offered at different times during the week to meet the needs of the public.  Visit our gallery and tour our studio  which is  10,000 sq feet filled with unique art.   We do weekly classes for home schooled children  6-12 years of age.  

Want to work in a modern facility and collaborate with other artists but don't need a private studio? Join us with two different membership types: $145 a month, providing you with a workspace and a shelf for tools and clay storage, or $100 for a cubby. All memberships come with 24/7 access. Come as much as you like!

We have four electric kilns, two raku kilns, two gas kilns, one for cone seven reduction and one for cone nine reduction, and a salt kiln. We make many glazes ourselves and offer a new glaze test each month. We fire outside work.
